Are they scams ?
Simply put, they are not scams. To be specific, sites like FreeiPods.com are made to be hard to complete if you are trying to do it on your own (that's how they make money), but by trading for referrals at RefStop.com you can get your prize right away. To get your prize, you have to complete a sponsor offer, then refer a certain number of people to do the same. The trick is that last step: if you keep bugging friends to do it, you may finish, but much slower than if you ask people that WANT to complete your referral for you!
How do I get my free prize?
After you sign up at one of the free sites, you do an offer. An offer could be signing up for an eBay account or a free trial of eFax. Then all you need to do is refer a number of people, depending on which site you are registered with. How do I get referrals at RefStop.com?
RefStop.com uses a trading system to allow users to sign up and do referrals for each other. After entering which prize sites you have accounts at, and how many referrals you need at each, RefStop will generate a list of traders that can do referrals for you.
You say there are 1500 referrals available. Why can I only see a few in the Get Referrals list?
You will only see people who can do offers for the site that you chose to get referrals for. The users shown to you are limited to those that can sign up at the sites you want referrals for, and from these people the list of trades is picked from the last 45 people to visit RefStop.com to ensure that they can actually respond to your offer. If you are only looking for referrals at popular sites, it will be harder to find referrals.
To fix this, try signing up at a site that offers what you want, but has lots of available offers. For example, if you want an ipod, sign up at FreebieRevolution.com instead of FreeiPods.com.
How do I know that someone I trade with will actually follow through and do an offer for me?
When two users agree to trade with each other, they also agree to finish the trade within due time. If one user attempts to skimp on a trade, the other user in the trade is offered a link to report the trade abuse. On top of that, any problems with trades or traders can be emailed to support@refstop.com. If a user is found to have not followed through with a trade, they loose their account at RefStop.com, and, possibly, at the free site where they were getting a referral.
My partner said that they never got credit for my offer when I know they should have.
If you feel that you have unfairly received this comment from a trading partner, please email support@refstop.com with a screen shot of the page from the prize site that you did the offer for which shows that they should have gotten credit.
The person I was trading with doesn't respond to my emails and seems to have just up and left!

How can I see who I have referred ?
You can see using the referral status panel (click on "Affiliates" in the navigation bar) who you have referred, if they have paid, and the current balance that you have earned.
When are payments sent ?
You do not have to request or claim your payment. We will send payments every Friday at the PayPal address you have on file [edit].
Why are some of my referrals not counted as paid ?
A user that isn't counted towards your referral balance wasn't counted because they signed up while RefStop.com was giving away free accounts, or while accounts were on sale. Users who do not pay their registration fee are also not eligible for an affiliate commission.
How do I know I'll get credit for my referrals ?
Our referral system is designed to guarantee that anyone you refer to RefStop.com will earn you credit. This is done by giving the referred person a cookie so that if they return in the next year you still get credit for the referral. Also, the referrer box in the register page is automatically filled with your username, and locked so that it cannot be changed. Together, these steps guarantee that a user that you refer will earn you credit, and the $2 that you deserve.
